THE MASSES

The Masses At Noise Pop

For nearly twenty years, the week long Noise Pop Festival (Feb. 22-27) has been bringing some of the best independent music, art, and film to San Francisco.  Far from being another underground hipster art bonanza, what really sets this festival apart is its mission to cultivate inspiration throughout the entire festival community.  One of Noise Pop’s featured events, Culture Club, invites you to experience the indie culture firsthand through screenings, discussions, and workshops led by some truly talented artists.  In case you’ve never experienced the Culture Club at Noise Pop yourself, there is one extra special reason why you absolutely must check it out this year: we’ll be there!!

Saturday, February 26th at 2pm, Masses founding member Matt Amato will be at Public Works with Masses Lab directors A.P. Fischer, Ariana Natale, Alex Pelly and June Zandona, where they will be screening some of their latest work and discussing the processes involved in creating music videos for Sister Crayon, Oy, Crystal Antlers and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, as well as Javelin’s “VisionVersion.”  But if a hands-on event is more your style, come by the workshop room at 5pm for our “Shooting With ‘Toys’” Harinezumi workshop.  We’ll share some tips and tricks for shooting with these great little cameras (which we can’t seem to get enough of!).

So come out to Noise Pop this year and collaborate with us!  The full schedule of Culture Club events can be found here. Tickets can be purchased online in advance for $10 or $15 the day of the event.  Hopefully we’ll see you there!
