LA Weekly
In the summer of 2008, the LA Weekly devoted its cover and feature space to an extended work on the Masses, tracing the collective’s history, philosophy, and craft. The piece carries us on a bus filled with Masses members down Interstate 10 through Phoenix, Tuscon and El Paso on a journey to West Texas, where the Marfa Film Festival had invited us to screen our creations. The feature, written by Randall Roberts, offers a history of the Masses, addresses our philosophy backgrounds, and traces the peaks and valleys in the never ending quest of a creative ideal.
